Enjoying another family day

We were so fortunate to receive this Barbie Jeep from my oldest niece for Olivia. I was really thankful my brother and sister-in-law were able to hang onto this for her. Once we figured out we would need a new battery Olivia had so much fun with it. She didn't realize the first time she tried it out that she had to keep her foot on the gas for it to constantly move. The next day, however, I couldn't get her out of it and she was zooming around in circles. I say circles because the steering wheel is a little tough to turn left or right for her at this point. Now before she starts out on the Jeep I have to remind her that she has to ride her tricycle for a little while as well. She doesn't seem to mind riding her tricycle and is even able to steer it down the driveway. However, the ride back up the driveway doesn't last long since her little legs get tired fast and she realizes she has to work a little harder on this bike. :)

Auntie Traci's visit

WE LOVE YOU AUNTIE TRACI!!!

Olivia has enjoyed spending time with her Aunt Traci. They have enjoyed jumping on the Bouncer and playing some computer learning games together. We are so fortunate that Aunt Traci was able to spend some special one on one time with us the last few days. It has always been my wish for Olivia to know her family more and this has been a great opportunity to do just that. The more time we spend with those we love, Olivia will soon realize the importance and value of these relationships.

My sister is a beautiful and strong Christian woman who has taught me so much about our heavenly father. She makes me want to know him more. I am so thankful we have had this time to share together as sisters and that Olivia has grown to know her more. Olivia will be asking about her Auntie Traci for sometime to come and always does such a great job including those memorable to her in her daily prayers.

Zoo day with my friend

This past Tues. was a wonderful morning spent at the zoo. Andrew was off and we decided to meet one of Andrew's colleagues and her daughter at the zoo that day. Olivia and her friend Melanie have gotten together at the zoo before and I just loved to see them holding hands. We have one small child next door to us who is much younger so it is rare we can go to the zoo with a little friend. Olivia would chase her friend down wanting to hold her hand. I just loved it! Spring is definitely in the air. Hooray!!!!

It's all fun and games until you are KONGED in the head!

Maybe I have learned my lesson in getting Olivia to perform for the camera. She absolutely LOVES to sing! I thought it was hilarious how she just all of a sudden spazzes out with the do-rei-me song from The Sound of Music. As you can see she got a little overly excited and threw Yoshi's KONG towards the side of my face. As I was telling her that it's not nice to throw things at people because it hurts; she whipped the tennis ball at me. I think there was some room time after this episode.

About Me
